EKU, Madison Central Choirs to Present Concert_Eastern Kentucky University[이스턴켄터키대학교,미국대학교학비]

The Eastern Kentucky University Choirs will present their fall concert on Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 7:30 p.m. at the EKU Center for the Arts.

The EKU Chamber Singers, Concert Choir and University Singers are led by Dr. Richard Waters, director of choral activities at EKU, and choral conducting graduate students LeMorris Hunt and Michael Welch. The EKU Choirs will be joined on the program by the Madison Central High School Choir, directed by Lisa Jury.

Guest clinician and conductor Tesfa Wondemagegnehu will visit EKU for a two-day residency in preparation for the concert. He will work with the EKU Choirs, lead a master class with the choral conducting graduate students, and do a workshop with the Madison Central High School Choir.

Widely in demand as a guest conductor and lecturer, Wondemagegnehu has performed and presented workshops across the United States, Canada, Germany, Austria, Hungary, and Costa Rica. He has also served as conductor for The Radio Choir from American Public Media, manager of APM’s Choral Works Initiative, assistant artistic director of VocalEssence, and currently serves as director of choral ministries at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis.

The concert, free and open to the public, will feature music by Eriks Esenvalds, Franz Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Lloyd Pfautsch, Ludovico Viadana, and others.
