[강남역미국유학원]Troy University_SOCCER SIGNS FIVE IN 2017 CLASS[트로이대학교]

In his first major duty since taking over as head coach on Monday, Ged O'Connor announced the signing of five student-athletes on Thursday.

 

"We're really excited about the class that we have signed," O'Connor said. "I'm sure each of them is excited about taking the next step in their playing career and education and we want to welcome them to the Troy family."

 

The class features players from four different states, including two from Texas. The class consists of two defenders, two midfielders and a forward. The group will join a Trojan program coming off a 7-10-3 record a year ago and a senior class that has compiled a 37-20-5 mark over the last three seasons.

KARLEY BAKER | 5'6'' | Midfield | Rome, Ga.

Prep: Played at Rome High School in Rome, Ga. … Led team in assists in each her freshman and sophomore season before concentrating solely on club soccer … Named to all-region and all-area teams as a freshman and sophomore … Led team to state region tournament as a sophomore … Also ran track and holds school records in 400 meter (58.54 seconds) and aslo in 4x100 relay.

 

Club: Named Top Drawer Soccer Combine Girls Best XI in 2014 … Began playing academy soccer for Rome Arsenal Soccer Club in Rome, Ga. … Played for Southern Soccer Academy in Atlanta, Ga., during her freshman year … With SSA, she was a member of the state finalist team and advanced to the Regional Premier League … Began training with Darlington Soccer Academy in Rome, Ga., during her junior year … Also played for Birmingham United ECNL team and joined the club exclusively for her senior season.
